1983
Aastra Technologies Limited was created

1992
Aastra entered the telecommunications business and began to develop and market consumer-oriented products

2000
Aastra made a serious entry into the small business telephone market with the acquisition of Nortel Networks Access Solutions Analogue Telephone business

2001
Aastra broadened its scope with the acquisition of Nortel’s Meridian Business System (MBS) Digital Centrex product portfolio further enhancing its position within the North American business communications marketplace

2002
Aastra acquired Nortel’s CVX product line of remote access servers and network gateway equipment expanding the company’s product portfolio and extending its market reach

2003
Aastra entered the enterprise communications market with the acquisition of the PBX telephone systems division of Swiss-based Ascom Holdings AG and in doing so significantly expanded its European presence

2005
Aastra concluded two important acquisitions acquiring the Enterprise Telephony Business of French aerospace and defense company EADS, and, the Telecom Systems Business of German based DeTeWe. As a result, the company significantly expanded its Enterprise Communication technology platform offering, added leading edge wireless technologies, and clearly strengthened its market position in Western Europe.
