CVX 600
Multi-Service Access Switch
The CVX 600 Multi-Service Access Switch is for carriers and service providers who have space and power constraints in their smaller geographically dispersed POPs and have chosen the CVX 1800 for deployment in their central office or larger POPs. Having the same functionality as the CVX 1800 Multi-Service Access Switch, the CVX 600 handles 612 calls per shelf (in T3, E1, and STM1 configurations); 6,120 calls in a standard seven foot rack and has lower power requirements. The CVX 600's flexible design and universal port capabilities allow carriers and service providers to easily expand their platform to support high-speed dial, VoIP, FoIP, VPN, tandem, and the ability to wholesale these services. Recognized by carriers and service providers as the definitive solution for wholesaling, the CVX 600's Virtual Point-of-Presence (Virtual POP) feature enables wholesalers to partition single or multiple CVX 600s into a series of mutually independent access switches, each with its own authentication method, database billing system, and management interface. With the Virtual POP feature, wholesalers can customize the partitioned network according to the specific needs of each outsourcing customer.
