Concord, ON, Canada – January 19, 2010 – Aastra, a Canadian based global provider of enterprise telephony communications equipment, applications and solutions, announced today that it is launching its MX-ONETM call control manager into the Canadian market. Already a major player in the enterprise communications market globally, Aastra now brings this proven solution to Canada and invites channel partners to join its launch events.
“We are keen to respond to the needs of channel partners and customers looking for a proven solution from a stable major communications provider.” said Yves Laliberte, Executive Vice President at Aastra Canada. “Aastra has developed into one of the largest enterprise communications vendors in the world with its roots firmly in Canada. New channel partners, especially those with IT and UC-oriented expertise, will be given our full support to adopt this new solution.”
Aastra will be conducting a series of open house events at its corporate headquarters in Toronto during February to introduce its MX-ONE to channel partners, consultants and prospective clients. The Aastra MX-ONE is a full-featured IP based communication call manager that offers flexibility, scalability and a competitive total cost of ownership for small, medium and large enterprises. To meet the customer’s specific requirements, the MX-ONE can be customized and complemented by Aastra’s comprehensive portfolio of UC solutions, ranging from multi-media contact center and unified messaging, to collaboration and conferencing.
“Aastra is committed to an indirect go to market model in Canada for enterprise customers. Our “High-touch channel fulfillment” model will also benefit our channel partners” adds Mark Marshall, Vice President of Canadian Enterprise Sales at Aastra. “We are looking to expand Aastra’s channel partner team in Canada and we have been encouraged by the level of interest from prospective partners. Our new partner program makes it easy for partners to do business with Aastra while making it financially rewarding to do so.”
With a major presence in the enterprise telephony market serving thousands of customers around the world, Aastra has demonstrated its ability to deliver solutions that exceed expectations. Aastra customers and partners can have confidence that they are dealing with a financially strong company of rich Canadian heritage.
MX-ONE offers choice for:
- Centralized or distributed architecture
- Hardware or software based call manager
- Single site, or several sites spanning multiple locations
The MX-ONE supports standards based communications protocols like SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) on both extension and trunk lines and is available with a wide variety of terminals (SIP, IP, SIP-DECT and Digital for example) and advanced applications such as the award-winning Solidus eCare solution for contact centers, and our Contact Management (CMG) Suite.
The MX-ONE is a highly scalable solution offering businesses the opportunity to scale up to 500,000 users on a single system. The MX-ONE is also available in a compact version enabling channel partners to use the same product knowledge across a wide range of customer requirements. The MX-ONE Compact leverages the features and benefits of the comprehensive and well-established MX-ONE call control manager to address the specific requirements of SMBs. Small and medium businesses can get the benefits of a full-featured and scalable enterprise grade solution for deployments up to 300 extensions in a cost effective way.
With an increasingly mobile workforce and environmental concerns encouraging teleworking, the MX-ONE can ensure the seamless integration of mobility with enterprise communications. Campus workers can benefit from highly scalable SIP-DECT wireless solutions and, thanks to fixed mobile convergence (FMC), remote workers can enjoy a similar user experience on their mobile handset which functions as a desk phone with the Aastra Mobile Client. Aastra’s UC applications and true mobility solutions help staff to be more productive and reactive to customer demands.
